SYSTEM FILE // 01 BASE OPERATIONS

Garage
Systems

The Armory stores and retrieves eligible inventory. The Fabricator turns raw parts into eligible inventory. Salvaging vehicles supplies parts that feed the fabrication loop before equipped creations are deployed.

Three Systems at a Glance

01

STORAGE

Armory

Store and retrieve eligible items from shared base storage.

Backpacks are containers, not Armory-storable items.
02

PRODUCTION

Fabricator

Turn raw parts into eligible inventory.

Available options expand as you make progress.
03

CURRENT EARLY ACCESS FOOTAGE

Armory + Fabricator in Context

This launch-day recording is cued to the in-game tutorial that shows the Armory’s shared-storage message and the Fabricator’s raw-parts role. It does not demonstrate a Garage Salvage procedure.

DIRECT ANSWER

What Does “Need to Be at Armory” Mean?

The message points you back to the Armory context at your base for the requested change.

The current Armory is confirmed as shared storage for eligible items. This guide does not prescribe one universal vehicle or rig equipment sequence because those Early Access steps can depend on the current interface.

01ARMORY

SHARED STORAGE

Store Eligible Items Between Bases

The Armory stores and retrieves eligible inventory, and its storage is shared between bases. The current screen separates carried inventory from shared storage and groups entries into weapon, ammo, item, and part categories.

ELIGIBLE ITEM EXAMPLES
  • Weapons
  • Bandages and healing items
  • Ammo
  • Credits

These are examples, not a complete compatibility list.

CONTAINER EXCEPTION

Why Can’t I Store a Backpack in the Armory?

Backpacks are treated as containers rather than Armory-storable items. A current developer clarification says to store one on an available parking gantry slot or inside a vehicle parked on a gantry slot.

Read the developer clarification
02FABRICATOR

RAW PARTS → INVENTORY

Build Inventory from Raw Parts

The Fabricator builds eligible inventory from raw parts. Its available options expand as you make progress, and the current interface presents a recipe list, a required-input area, and a Build action.

EARLY-STAGE LIMIT

At the observed early tutorial stage, vehicle building and storage are not available yet. That is a stage-specific limit, not a permanent statement about the rest of Early Access.

Early Fabricator options cover broad categories such as healing supplies, carry/storage accessories, and utility items. Exact recipes, costs, output locations, and later vehicle steps can change and are not listed here.

03SALVAGE

VEHICLES → PARTS

Feed the Fabrication Loop

The current official description confirms that vehicles can be salvaged for parts, and those parts feed fabrication back at the base.

ROLE, NOT A BUTTON-BY-BUTTON PROCEDURE

This page does not give an exact Salvage procedure because pad details, the current interface, eligible non-vehicle items, yields, and refund behavior are not covered here with enough consistency for dependable instructions.

A “salvage mission” describes a mission opportunity. It should not be confused with instructions for using a Garage Salvage station.
